This second episode really zoomed. Much like the first episode.
We get some back story on Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) in this episode, which takes place on All Hallow’s Eve. We get a lot of Bloody Face time, no alien time, and a lot of bare skin.
An exorcism, and the introduction of Dr. Oliver Thredson (Zachary Quinto).
This episode is all about Dr. Arthur Arden (James Cromwell) though. We get a few hints as to what the doctor has been up to, and we get a better glimpse into his creepy world view. Extremely unsettling activities, does Dr. Arden get up to it seems, oh yes.
I’m hooked, just as I was with the first season. This show knows what you want, and doesn’t pussyfoot around. Its got severe ADD, and moves at a blistering pace. And I love it.
Philosophical questions on religion vs. science, and baser pleasures are explored.
I say you tune in, strap in, and get ready for a shock.
